Where were you on the morning of September 11, 2001? While most of us, from all over the world, were probably working, having a goodnight’s rest at home or even enjoying an ordinary Tuesday; thousands of people in the United States of America had their biggest nightmare that day.
We all heard about the attacks on the twin World Trade Towers in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington. Thousands of deaths included Americans and citizens from many other countries. This horrible and tragic day is etched forever not only for the USA but for the rest of the world.
Like the attack on Pearl Harbor that brought us into World War II, the 911 attacks led us into a new war; the war on terrorism. It also touched and changed forever, the lives of each and every one of us from all over the world.
On the anniversary of 911 today, Sutherland Philippines remembers those who died, honors those who kept another’s life safe, and reflects on the victims’ resilience. Let us take time to encourage children’s coping skills. Let us be one in helping them see themselves as a positive force in the world, despite hard times.
Sutherland Philippines; who partners with different nations and races, is one with the whole world in reflecting and praying for the victims who died, and their families and friends.
