Sutherland is known for opening doors and starting careers. One initiative that has contributed tremendously to this is our outstanding REFER program. Through this program, employees are afforded the opportunity to refer family and friends who they deem capable of contributing to our dynamic team environment. Highlighted here is one of our REFER champions who has submitted the MOST eligible referrals.

  1. How and when did you come to Sutherland?

I found out about Sutherland while searching for a job on Sahara Ave in Las Vegas. I saw the sign that said they were hiring now by the recruitment office. I was hired by Sutherland on September 2, 2016.

  1. How did you react when you found out you were a top referrer?

I was ecstatic! I cannot stop smiling; I am flattered.

  1. What qualities do you look for when identifying people to REFER?

I look for people with integrity and professionalism, who are personable and dress professional from day to day. Also, people who manage their life exceptionally well, not only at work but outside of work too.

  1. How do you ensure that your referrals complete their applications?

I follow up with them with positive feedback. I ensure that if they put their mind to it and they pass all assessments required, there is no reason they should not get the job. I also assure them that they will be welcomed into recruitment with open arms. Our support in the recruitment center has optimistic mindsets, and if one program does not fit you, we will do our best in recruitment to find a home for you.

  1. So far in your career at Sutherland, what are your top three most important accomplishments?

My top three most important accomplishments are having perfect attendance, being recognized for the Team Player Award during my graduation period, and being recognized as part of the Top 10 of my entire program. Also, I have been a Subject Matter Expert/Senior Consultant since December of 2016.

  1. What do you enjoy most about working at Sutherland?

I love that I can really be utilized for any type of support within the building, and also be free to hone my skills at Sutherland to potentially be a greater asset than ever before.

  1. What is your best personality trait? What makes you unique?

I have a smile on my face 24/7 and I am passionate about helping everyone around me succeed to their highest potential through fellowship and positive feedback.

  1. What is the best advice you have ever received at work or in life?

You did great and you can do better.

  1. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy helping people within my neighborhood, spending time with my daughter and wife, reading lots and lots of books, and the list goes on. Basically, anything that I can make or utilize in my everyday life to reflect me as a better person.

  1. Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself managing multiple accounts within Sutherland, traveling to train managers or employees to do great things as I’ve seen done with the company thus far, and building relationships with executive account holders within the United States for Sutherland.
