- What do you like most about your new title?
I like the creativity. My new position here will really allow me to use some of my creative talents in a way to help further Sutherland’s CloudSource.
- What would be your personal opinion on the difference between living and existing?
Existing is simply being. You do enough to not die of starvation or dehydration. Living is taking advantage of every and all opportunities. Not being afraid of failure or making a mistake, but doing things to the fullest and taking every chance available.
- What habits or daily routines help you to recharge during a work day?
Caffeine. Good ole’ caffeine. Other than that, I practice Tai Chi Quan and Tai Chi Jian. I find, during my lunch break, 15 to 20 minutes a day helps to recharge my mind and body for the rest of the day.
- So far in your career at Sutherland, what are your three most important accomplishments?
I would say, recently being in the top 5% for my annual review, getting Platinum Coach certified, and when I became a senior consultant within my first year at Sutherland.
- What do you “owe” yourself?
More credit. I often struggle with acknowledging my strengths.
- What advice would you give someone going into a leadership position for the first time?
Remember you are not the king, you are the servant to those underneath you. They are your customers, and your job is to ensure they have what they need to be successful.
- What are some key beliefs you hold about living a fulfilling and successful life?
Jesus. I submitted my life to him over 10 years ago, and honestly ever since my life has been amazing. Not without struggles, but believing in Him has helped me overcome many different obstacles in my life. In trying to emulate Him, I have learned some valuable concepts and work ethic which I feel has contributed to my success.
