Profile the Promotion – Jessica Solis

By Amber Kukiela | Amber is the Candidate Experience Specialist for Sutherland Global Services. She has a diverse background in marketing and has worked with Welch Allyn Inc. and the New York Family Business Center. She is a recent graduate of Le Moyne College where she majored in Business Marketing and minored in Philosophy and Art Administration. During her time at Le Moyne, she was a sprinter and high jumper for the NCAA track and field team. Since then, she has been running in 5k races around the Central NY area. When not running, she dabbles in photography, painting, and illustrating. She also enjoys baking and cooking and uses her coworkers as taste testers.

I sometimes feel I owe myself a little more credit for my work.

What I do to ensure I continue being a leader is to never give up, to always strive for the best, and to never be afraid of hard work and dedication.

  1. What advice would you give someone going into a leadership position for the first time?

My advice would be to never doubt yourself, and to stay professional at all times no matter what.

  1. What are your greatest professional strengths?

I would say my greatest professional strengths are my people skills and hardworking characteristics.

  1. What are some key beliefs you hold about living a fulfilling and successful life?

I have 3 top beliefs that I go by to have a fulfilling and successful life. Those 3 things are: being thankful for your opportunities, work hard for those opportunities, and to always do what you love.
