- How and when did you come to Sutherland?
I started with Sutherland on August 15, 2016, as an Executive Recruitment Concierge. I was recruited by the Executive Recruitment Concierge team. My previous recruitment experience consists of a combined total of 6 years from previous employers Concentrix and Adecco.
- So far in your career at Sutherland, what are your top three most important accomplishments?
During my time thus far with Sutherland, a few of my greatest accomplishments would have to be the following: 1st – Assisting my team with the reformatting of our process flow to create a seamless onboarding process for executive new hires. 2nd – Assisting my team with the role architecture restructuring for Executive Coordinators and Recruiters, role responsibilities, and delegation process flow. 3rd – Would have to be volunteering for the Taleo training. I was chosen as a point of contact in assisting with any questions, issues, and resolutions regarding our new applicant tracking system implementation in North America. In partnership, I also hosted an onsite Taleo training at our Jefferson Road location, which was the highlight of all my accomplishments thus far. I also hosted separately an additional Taleo training for our India Executive Recruitment team.
- Who at Sutherland has made the biggest impact on your career and why?
Since joining Sutherland, the person who has made the biggest impact on my career without a doubt is Executive Recruitment Concierge, Tracy Renee Allen. From my first day, Tracy trained and provided me with all the tools necessary for me to be successful at Sutherland. She is the most knowledgeable resource I have encountered and I have learned a great deal from her. Tracy ensured my experience with Sutherland was a phenomenal one. She introduced me to everyone at the Basin location, gave me a tour of the facility, and ensured I had access to my equipment and all necessary systems. She assisted with all issues from start to finish that a new hire normally experiences, and she did it all with an exuberant smile and kind heart. She has and continues to impact my career with her amazing work ethic, dedication, and wisdom.
- What makes Sutherland stand out from your previous employers?
Sutherland provides achievable career growth opportunities. With role architecture, we as employees are given a scope of where our careers can go within Sutherland. At my previous two employers, there wasn’t an architecture design for our roles so there were no growth opportunities.
- What do you love most about your role at Sutherland?
What I love most about my role with Sutherland is being provided the opportunity to use my work experience to assist in improving areas of interest for the betterment of my team and company.
- What’s the best advice you’ve ever received at work or in life?
The quote that sticks out as the best advice I’ve received thus far in life would have to be this: “To thine own self be true”. That if you do not have knowledge of self, you can only go so far in this life.
- What do you do outside of work?
I do anything outdoors. I love being one with nature.
- What three words best describe you?
The three words that best describe me are reserved, observant, and friendly.
- What are your favorite snacks or food to bring to work?
My favorite snack is fruit salad w/quinoa.
- If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
It would be to fly!
