- How and when did you come to Sutherland?
I was contacted by a Recruiter and hired on 3/18/2012.
- What gets you up in the morning? No, not your dog or alarm….but what really drives you to get up and give your best each day?
What gets me up in the morning is knowing I am working with a thriving team that works hard, trains hard, and conquers the goals they set for themselves daily.
- What would be your advice to someone who wants to work in your position at Sutherland?
My advice to someone who wants to work in my position would be three things. First, you have to show initiative. If you know something needs to be done, don’t wait for instruction, just go ahead and take care of the matter at hand. Second, be a team player. Assist your peers, become a floor leader, and make people feel welcome to come to you and seek guidance. Lastly, let it be known that you are interested in a management position. Many times employees don’t share what their plans are with the company. Get to know your employees. If we know you are interested in being promoted, we can help mold you and prepare you for the role.
- Which country that Sutherland operates in would you most like to visit and why?
I would love to visit Sutherland’s Jamaica location. I imagine office meetings overlooking the ocean and being served Pina Colada’s for lunch (virgin of course) lol.
- What’s the best advice you’ve ever received at work or in life?
The best advice I’ve ever received is to not take things so seriously. Remember, things could always be worse and you only have one life to live. Live it to the fullest and enjoy yourself! Make every day count!
