Platinum Performer – Ryan Dole

Sutherland Global Services has a plethora of incredible people. However, we have many who are willing to go the Extra Mile. In acknowledgment of their efforts, we honor them as a Platinum Performer. Recipients of this prestigious award are invited to our special quarterly dinner where they are recognized for their contributions to the company. Meet Sutherland’s latest awardee.

  1. How and when did you come to Sutherland Global?

I came to Sutherland about 2 years ago looking for a way to get real-world experience in the IT Security field. Most employers are looking for on-the-job experience and a degree. Sutherland was a great opportunity to get experience while also getting my degree at the same time. I have a background in AS Engineering Science and Computer Science, so my time here has made it much easier to find a career path that will be rewarding long term and financially sound as I pursue the correct degree for the career I’ll enjoy.

  1. What gets you up in the morning? No, not your dog or alarm….but what really drives you to get up and give your best each day?

This question is easy; it’s always coffee. Well, actually it’s knowing that I have the skills and knowledge to offer to the right organization. It’s the drive to be and feel the best I can, and the rewards that come with that. What’s good enough for most people isn’t good enough for me. I’m always looking for a way to improve myself, and to share that knowledge with others who want to move forward in life.

  1. Who at Sutherland has made the biggest impact on your career and why?

This is a difficult question to answer because I’ve met so many really good, hardworking, motivated individuals who I’m proud to call friends, or at the very least, to know in life. Sutherland has a large group of talented and intelligent individuals who are often capable of much more than what their positions allow them to show. Here’s just a few of the motivating and inspiring individuals who have positively affected me in no specific order:

James Roffe – One of the best and most understanding individuals I’ve met. He represents the family and moral code that we should all value.

Sam Rezek – A great man, with an even better sense of humor. He showed me how one person can take on the role of many, and do it very well. He deserves the position he has and is a great and motivating individual.

Josh Wemett – Smart and understanding. This man was a great inspiration to me when I started working at Sutherland. He’s a great asset to any organization.

Mark Craib – What can I say about Mark that anyone else hasn’t? The man is well-versed and traveled, and has a very extensive working knowledge of people and how they interact. He was very fair with me, and I am proud to have been part of his team. He’s the type of guy you’d follow to battle, a great asset to any organization.

These are only a few of the individuals I’ve met who have inspired me and who reflect what we should all strive to be. They are all a great asset to the company.

4. Which country that Sutherland operates in would you most like to visit and why?

It would probably be Great Britain because I’d like to take some time to travel the European countryside and see more of this world we live in.

5. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received at work or in life?

You get what you give. What you get out of something is what you put into it. Your family, children, career, education, and the rewarding things in life come from applied effort over time.

6. What are you looking forward to the most in 2016?

I’m looking forward to continuing to raise a family and building a solid foundation by which we can find success in our careers and in our personal lives.
