Work At Home

Sutherland Global Services has a plethora of incredible people. However, we have many who are willing to go the Extra Mile. In acknowledgment of their efforts, we honor them as a Platinum Performer. Recipients of this prestigious award are invited to our special quarterly dinner where they are recognized for their contributions to the company. Meet one of Sutherland’s latest awardee.

        1. If you had to pick one place in the world to live for the next 20 years, where would that be? And why?

I would love to live in Pensacola, Florida.  I lived there over 25 years ago and built some wonderful, lasting friendships.  Pensacola Beach is an island which has amazing white sands and beautiful views of both the Gulf of Mexico and Pensacola Bay.  The Navy’s Blue Angels are housed at the Pensacola Naval Air Station and I used to love watching them on a regular basis as they flew on their training maneuvers.  Pensacola is only a day trip from New Orleans or St. Augustine so there are many vacation possibilities on tight budgets.  I enjoy seafood and love the Creole cuisine of the region, and they have some excellent restaurants.  All of this is coupled with a smaller big-city feel and sense of community.

        1. Who had the biggest impact on you becoming a Platinum Performer?

Hands down that would be Sandy Vasquez.  She is a world-class leader with the ability to help develop your talents naturally.  She is a woman of her word and just an all-around awesome person.

        1. What keeps you motivated and prepares you for a day in the office?

I would say the career opportunities at Sutherland.  This is the first BPO I have worked for that promoted exclusively from within.  They offer the Consultant Development Program and the Lead 100 classes to help prepare you for your career advancement with encouragement along the way.  I really like how Upper Management treats the agents as a priority.

        1. What skills would you say you’ve improved on in the last year that have helped you to reach Platinum Performer status?

I have been given the opportunity to take Lead 100 classes and am now Lead certified.  This essentially helped me see the company through Sutherland’s vision and has helped my mindset adjust from previous employment with BPOs.  I have been given opportunities to take on additional work to enhance my understanding of my current program as well.  I have done some peer coaching, program training, and acted as support for the newer agents.

        1. Describe yourself in three words?

Determined, focused, dedicated.
