Platinum Performer – Jesus Hernandez

Sutherland has a plethora of incredible people. However, we have many who are willing to go the Extra Mile. In acknowledgment of their efforts, we honor them as a Platinum Performer. Recipients of this prestigious award are invited to our special quarterly dinner where they are recognized for their contributions to the company. Meet Sutherland’s latest awardee.

    1. How and when did you come to Sutherland?

I was referred in February of 2016. I made an excellent decision when I applied to Sutherland!

    1. Who at Sutherland has made the biggest impact on your career and why?

Every manager I’ve had has made a tremendous impact on me. Every one of them had a great lesson for me. Also, having different managers helped me develop different skills and ways of working, making me more efficient at what I do.

    1. What would be your advice to someone who wants to work in your position at Sutherland?

If you seem a little nervous, just breathe and control your breath. Just remain calm. You got it!

    1. What makes Sutherland stand out from your previous employer(s)?

Sutherland is unlike any other employer. We make each other feel like a family. We enjoy working together and helping each other in time of need. We have all grown comfortable with each other since everyone is so nice.

    1. What do you love most about your role at Sutherland?

One of the things I love the most about my role at Sutherland is being able to correct issues and make things right with customers. I also love feeling appreciated for my hard work and making things right for everyone. The time and effort is well spent doing something meaningful.

    1. Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years, I see myself in management and taking advantage of our association with CSN. Hopefully, I’ll be already certified and on my way to graduation.

By Amber Kukiela| Amber is the Candidate Experience Specialist for Sutherland. She has a diverse background in marketing and has worked with Welch Allyn Inc. and the New York Family Business Center. She is a recent graduate of Le Moyne College where she majored in Business Marketing and minored in Philosophy and Art Administration. During her time at Le Moyne, she was a sprinter and high jumper for the NCAA track and field team. Since then, she has been running in 5k races around the Central NY area. When not running, she dabbles in photography, painting, and illustrating. She also enjoys baking and cooking and uses her coworkers as taste testers.
