New Hire – Jennifer Cruse

Jennifer is currently working from home in West Virginia as Sutherland’s Social Media Specialist!

      1. Why did you want to work here?

I’m super excited to be working at Sutherland for a few reasons! From my very first interview, everyone here has been so great and helpful with anything I’ve needed. Second, I am thrilled to be working for a truly global organization.

      1. What have you enjoyed the most so far at Sutherland Global?

There are several things at Sutherland I have enjoyed so far. First, as I stated above, everyone here is great. Everyone is always willing to help and answer all my questions, and sometimes I have a lot of them! The next thing I have really enjoyed is getting to learn and do new things. I’m a life-long learner, so it’s fun for me. I also really enjoy getting to share my thoughts and ideas on projects and tasks!

      1. What was/is your favorite part of training?

Getting to spend hours on the phone with my awesome boss! (I work remotely.)

      1. If you could stock a vending machine with anything, what would you stock it with and why?

Since I work from home, my fridge is my vending machine. I’m somewhat of a health nut, so I’m working on keeping it stocked with healthy snacks like fruit and vegetables.

      1. What were you doing previously before you came to Sutherland?

Before I started at Sutherland, I was the Corporate Marketing Coordinator for a company that owns several colleges. I literally did it all, including social media marketing, digital advertising, radio and TV production, media research and planning, website management, and strategy creation. I also analyzed and optimized marketing campaigns for maximum effectiveness.

      1. What’s your favorite hobby or non-work related activity to do in your spare time?

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my kids! They are both boys and they love being outdoors. We go to the playground a lot, go swimming, play basketball, ride bicycles, and anything else outdoors! I also enjoy reading about science and technology. I’m a nerd!

      1. What’s something you’re hoping to take away from your work experience here at Sutherland?

I am hoping to grow as a professional and as a marketer. Marketing changes every day; it is a moving target. I want to stay on the cutting edge of modern marketing because what worked last year, may not work today, and what works today, may not work next year.

                 8. What inspires you to succeed in your professional environment?

My kids are my primary motivation for everything I do! They inspire and motivate me on a daily basis. I want to show them that hard work, passion, and commitment will get you where you want to be in life and in a professional environment!

By Amber Kukiela| Amber is the Candidate Experience Specialist for Sutherland Global Services. She has a diverse background in marketing and has worked with Welch Allyn Inc. and the New York Family Business Center. She is a recent graduate of Le Moyne College where she majored in Business Marketing and minored in Philosophy and Art Administration. During her time at Le Moyne, she was a sprinter and high jumper for the NCAA track and field team. Since then, she has been running in 5k races around the Central NY area. When not running, she dabbles in photography, painting, and illustrating. She also enjoys baking and cooking and uses her coworkers as taste testers.
